From Distraction to Connection:Turning a 100mph Cockapoo into a Polite Gentlemen

Bailey came to see us as a very energetic and cheeky chappy who just loved being out and about and needed to see the world at 1000 miles per hour, regardless if his owner could keep up or not!

During our first training session, we began reshaping Bailey’s view of the world. Our goal was to help him see his owner as the most exciting and important thing in his environment, rather than being completely absorbed by the many smells, sounds, and distractions around him. By gradually shifting his focus, we started to rebuild and strengthen the bond between Bailey and his owner, encouraging him to engage with the world alongside them rather than charging ahead on his own agenda.

Between sessions, Bailey’s dedicated owner continued to build on the techniques we introduced. Thanks to their commitment and consistency around their extremely busy schedule, Bailey swiftly made fantastic progress. We quickly saw him transform from a crazy Cockapoo into a much more polite and respectful gentlemen who is now much more aware of the person at the other end of the lead. As a result the walks, and school drop-offs have become much calmer and far more enjoyable.

We’re delighted to have been apart of Bailey’s journey to fulfilment, and we’re excited to see this new found respect and commitment to each other excel as we broaden their training horizons to settling in cafe’s and within the home.
