The ‘Tail’ so far…

Hi there! My name’s Cameron and animals have been a constant presence in my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a home shared with a Manchester Terrier x Black Lab, four cats, rats and fish, my love and appreciation for animal companionship quickly began to bloom.

This early connection soon developed into hands-on experience competing nationally in husky racing, before venturing into the gundog world after rescuing my first English Springer Spaniel. Further deepening my understanding of dogs, their instincts, drives and individual needs.

After bringing home my pride and joy, Archer, at just eight weeks old and experiencing every stage of his development throughout his formative years, I discovered a true passion for dog training. This hands-on experience inspired me to broaden my knowledge and deepen my understanding of training methods and canine behaviour.

When a friend asked for my help with her dog’s behaviour on walks, I was able to see first-hand the difference the right training can make. After just a few sessions, the positive change in the dog, and the happiness and renewed connection it brought to their owner, was incredibly rewarding. It was at that moment I truly realised the impact that well-timed, thoughtful training can have, not only on dogs but on the people who share their lives, and that I could play a role in strengthening that bond.

Therefore I started to progress the decades of hands-on, informal experience into a more formal setting, and started to study with the British College of Canine Studies in Advanced Canine Behaviour.

All of this ultimately led me to create Pawtential Instinct, a business built on respect for natural behaviour, thoughtful training, and genuine care. It’s the result of years of learning, experience, and a lifelong passion for helping dogs and their owners thrive together.

I can’t wait to get out there and meet all the incredible owners and their pets so only one question remains… Are you ready to unlock your dog's true Pawtential?
